NEW CORONAVIRUS cases in Orange County were reported Wednesday at 4,406. (Flickr).

After two days of declines, new cases of coronavirus cases reported to the Orange County Health Care Agency rose again, nearly eclipsing the record set earlier this week.

According to the OCHCA report for Wednesday, the latest daily tally is 4,406 new cases. The all-time high is still 4,606, reported on Dec. 20.

Deaths remained the same at two, but new highs were recorded among COVID-19 hospitalizations at 1,854 and those in intensive care units because of coronavirus at 394.

To date, there have been 134,820 cases of the virus reported in Orange County, and 1,781 deaths.
