A 23-year-old Hesperia man was arrested Wednesday for the murder of a Costa Mesa man in Anaheim. APD officers took Gilbert Fred Falgo into custody for the killing of Matthew Davis Rawson.
According to Anaheim police, the incident took place on Tuesday after 1:30 p.m. when officers responded to the 2000 block of E. Via Burton Street regarding a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found Rawson suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died of his injuries.
APD detectives arrested Falgo in Hesperia. A handgun was recovered during the arrest. He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
