Cases up, ICU demand eases

The number of new cases of coronavirus continued high in Wednesday’s report from the Orange County Health Care Agency.

According to the OCHCA, the latest number is at 3,077, up sharply from Tuesday’s total of 1,376. Deaths were at 17, compared to zero on Tuesday. Hospitalizations from COVID-19 infections rose slightly from 2,236 to 2,249. The number of patients in intensive case units from the virus declined from 504 to 485.

Here is the list of OC cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.

  • Santa Ana: 32,575 (381)
  • Anaheim: 29,615 (416)
  • Garden Grove: 11,045 (135)
  • Orange: 8,361 (96)
  • Fullerton: 7,779 (107)
  • Huntington Beach: 7,031 (107)

Westminster has 4,774 cases and 45 deaths. Stanton has 2,226 cases and 25 deaths.
