Deaths from the coronavirus in Orange County continue to climb in Sunday’s report from the county health agency.
Deaths were 50, up from 43 on Saturday and 26 on Friday. That brings to 2,091 the number of total deaths in the county from COVID-19 infections.
Sunday’s count of new coronavirus cases was at 3,121, a decline from 4,204 the day before. Hospitalizations dropped from 2,221 to 2,216. However, patients being treated in intensive care units for the virus increased to 547 from 528 on Saturday and 519 on Friday.
To date, there have been 188,602 cases of coronavirus reported in Orange County, of which 113,309 are considered recovered.

Westminster has 5,183 cases and 59 deaths. Stanton has 2,413 cases and 26 deaths.
