Four public hearings are on the agenda for the Jan. 21 meeting of the Garden Grove Planning Commission. The planners will meet via teleconference at 7 p.m.
The items to be considered are:
- a request to develop a 20,500-square foot lot on the south side of Chapman Avenue, east of Loraleen Street with a six-unit apartment building;
- the conversion of a full-service car wash at 6911 Garden Grove Blvd. (west of Knott Street) into a self-service automatic car wash;
- amending the municipal code’s provisions for accessory dwelling units and junior accessory units;
- subdivision of property on Lampson Avenue and Sungrove Circle into two parcels for the construction of two single family homes.
Also before the council will be a request to modify the front building façade of an existing building at 12936 Main St. for the establishment of the Phuc Long coffee and tea shop.
Special Stanton meeting Friday
A special meeting of the Stanton City Council will be held on Friday at 1 p.m.
The meeting, which will be held via teleconference, will take up – in closed session – negotiation between the city and a property owner for the purchase of land located at 8160 Lampson Ave.
