Friday’s report on the coronavirus pandemic from the Orange County Health Care Agency again showed mixed results. New cases and deaths both increased, but hospitalizations due to COVID-19 and patients being treated in intensive care units both declined.
According to the OCHCA, new cases rose to 1,460 from 1,276 on Thursday, and deaths jumped to 107 from 29. Hospitalizations decreased from 1,592 to 1,521. Use of ICUs for coronavirus patients slipped from 439 to 426.
The to-date total of infections in Orange County is 229,757, of which 171,134 are considered recovered. Deaths are at 2,975.

Westminster has 6,346 cases and 110 deaths. Stanton has 2,872 cases and 40 deaths.
