New cases drop once more

New cases of coronavirus made a big drop in Tuesday’s report from the Orange County Health Care Agency.

According to the OCHCA, new infections of the COVID-19 fell from 942 on Monday to 560 today.  Deaths rose from 25 to 33, and hospitalizations increased from 1,046 to 1,058.

Patients being treated for the virus in intensive care units declined from 331 to 324.

The cumulative total of coronavirus cases in Orange County is now at 239,766. Of that number, 204,392 are considered to be recovered. Deaths are at 3,416.

  • Santa Ana: 43,108 (602)
  • Anaheim: 39,970 (628)
  • Garden Grove: 15,623 (264)
  • Orange: 11,293 (169)
  • Fullerton: 10,706 (224)
  • Huntington Beach: 9,848 (162)

Westminster has had 6,678 cases and 134 deaths. Stanton has had 3,008 cases and 44 deaths.
