Do you live in Stanton and have a dog you’d like to walk and socialize in a safe, enclosed area?

A first step toward the establishment of a dog park for the city was taken Tuesday when the city council took up Mayor Dave Shawver’s proposal to investigate such a prospect. City staff was directed to proceed with research and the creation of a staff report to be presented to the council at a future meeting.

The city council also approved appointments to fill three vacancies on the planning commission. Chosen were Thomas Adams, Thomas Frazier and Lee Norgaard.
