New cases rise, other signs fall

New confirmed cases of coronavirus are up in Friday’s report from the Orange County Health Care Agency, but the other three major metrics showed declines.

According to the OCHA, new cases rose from 174 to 349. However, deaths decreased from 41 to 3, and hospitalizations due to COVID-19 went from 515 to 453.

Patients being treated in intensive care units dropped from 160 to 137.

The cumulative total of cases in Orange County is now at 24,983, of which 229,785 are considered recovered. Deaths are at 3,892.

  • Santa Ana: 43,914 (693)
  • Anaheim: 40,837 (703)
  • Garden Grove: 16,064 (300)
  • Orange: 11,537 (201)
  • Fullerton: 11,008 (242)
  • Huntington Beach: 10,226 (178)

Westminster has had 6,905 cases and 152 deaths. Stanton has had 3,104 cases and 47 deaths.
