Statistics show more progress

SANITARY measures along with the vaccines are having an effect on knocking down statistics on the coronavirus in Orange County

All measurements of the effects of the coronavirus in Orange County showed improvement in Wednesday’s report from the county health care agency.

Confirmed new cases dropped dramatically to 56, roughly half of the day before (108). Deaths declined from 61 to 33, while hospitalizations of COVID-19 cases went to 277 from 283.

The use of intensive care units to treat such patients slid from 77 to 73.

The cumulative total of coronavirus cases in the county is now at 248,078, with 237,859 considered recovered. Deaths are at 4,346.

  • Santa Ana: 44,228 (771)
  • Anaheim: 41,100 (763)
  • Garden Grove: 12,262 (338)
  • Orange: 11,614 (221)
  • Fullerton: 11,108 (264)
  • Huntington Beach: 10,344 (195)
  • Irvine: 10,225 (78)

Westminster has had 44,228 cases and 173 deaths. Stanton has has had 7,003 cases and 55 deaths.
