A full agenda will greet the Stanton City Council when it meets on Tuesday night.
Among the issues facing the council are:
- a proposed ordinance updating the city’s regulations for the building of accessory and junior accessory dwelling units to comply with new state law;
- a proposed ordinance repealing the “qualified elector” requirement for serving on city appointed commissions. Typically, the term “qualified elector” refers to a currently registered voter;
- a public hearing to consider modifying fees for false alarm responses and the apprehension of traffic law violators.
The council will meet virtually in closed session at 6 p.m., followed by the regular session at 6:30 p.m.
