New cases are back in decline

NEW CASES of coronavirus cases declined on Saturday, after a sharp rise on Friday (Shutterstock).

After a spike on Friday, confirmed cases of coronavirus in Orange County dropped on Saturday. According to the county health care agency, the tally went from 156 to 94.

Deaths rose from 19 to 27, while hospitalizations due to COVID-19 declined from 172 to 170.

Patients being treated for the virus in intensive care units fell from 31 to 28.

The to-date total of cases is at 250,189, of which 242,187 are considered recovered. Deaths are at 4,711.

  • Anaheim: 41,414 (826)
  • Garden Grove: 16,423 (368)
  • Orange: 11,723 (240)
  • Fullerton: 11,203 (285)
  • Huntington Beach: 10,490 (207)
  • Irvine: 10,348 (80)

Westminster has had 7,068 cases and 191 cases. Stanton has has 3,143 cases and 64 deaths.
