Assistant Public Works Director Jake Ngo has been appointed to serve as the interim public works director/city engineer, overseeing the City of Westminster’s Corporation Yard, building maintenance, and engineering division.

Ngo began with the City of Westminster in 2003 as an engineering associate before promoting to principal engineer in 2008. In 2018, he promoted to deputy city engineer.

Projects Ngo has worked on throughout the years include median projects; citywide parks improvements; construction of the Miriam Warne Community building, corporation yard, and the shooting range; street improvements; and the construction of several monuments at Sid Goldstein Freedom Park.

In 2020, Ngo was promoted to assistant public works director and was primarily responsible for the daily operations of the corporation yard, which includes maintenance, parks, fleet, and water.

“As the interim director, my mission is to continue maintaining the city’s infrastructure, parks, and facilities. I’m committed to providing the highest level of service to residents and businesses in Westminster,” said Ngo. “I’m excited to work on upcoming major projects in the city and work toward making things flow smoothly in the day-to-day operations.”

Effectively immediately, Ngo will lead the city’s second largest department until a permanent director is hired.
