A fire in a large truck that threatened a strip mall in Stanton was quickly extinguished by firefighters from the Orange County Fire Authority Tuesday afternoon.
According to the OCFA the fire was called in at 4:02 p.m. at Donnaken Furniture, 12605 Beach Blvd. – just south of Lampson Avenue – as flames and smoke billowed out of the engine compartment of the truck, which was parked next to the building.
Fire crews rapidly knocked the fire down and kept it from spreading to the adjacent buildings. There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
