A knife, a bat and an arrest

TWO PEOPLE were stabbed, a third struck with a bat in an incident Friday morning in Garden Grove (Shutterstock).

An investigation is still underway into an incident early Friday morning in Garden Grove that sent two people to the hospital and another to jail.

According to Sgt. Jeff Hutchins, police received a call at 2:10 a.m. of an incident that had just occurred in the 12400 block of Jerome Avenue (northwest of Gilbert Street and Lampson Avenue).

Arriving officers found a man and a woman in the front yard of a home. They had sustained stab wounds to their back and arms. The wounds were not considered life-threatening and were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Another male was found in front of the home with injuries to his head inflicted by strikes from a baseball bat. He was treated at the scene and later arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. His identity was not immediately released.
