The coronavirus threat isn’t quite over yet. Or at least that could be the message from Friday’s report from the Orange County Health Care Agency of COVID-19 statistics.
After several days of declines, the number of confirmed new cases more than doubled, going from 65 to 112. Deaths jumped from seven to 17 and hospitalizations due to the virus rose from 125 to 135.
The number of patients being treated for coronavirus in intensive care units stayed even at 29.
Friday’s to-date total of cases in Orange County is at 252,804, of whom 245,087 are considered to be recovered. Deaths are at 4,886.

Westminster has had 7,147 cases and 202 deaths. Stanton has had 3,163 cases and 67 deaths.
