New cases, deaths up, but …

NEW ORANGE COUNTY coronavirus cases and deaths were up in Thursday’s report, but remain low (Shutterstock).

Confirmed new cases of coronavirus in Orange County increased in Thursday’s report from the county health agency, but remained low by historic standards.

According to the OCHCA, there were 69 cases listed for Thursday, up from 53 on Wednesday, but down from 127 on Tuesday. Deaths were up from two on Wednesday to eight today.

Hospitalizations because of COVID-19 stayed the same at 110, and intensive care units treating corona patients dropped from 23 to 22.

To date, Orange County has had 253,275 cases, of which 245,666 are considered recovered. The total of deaths is at 4,910.
