A Florida man was arrested this week in Seal Beach for allegedly taking back money he had paid to a “sex worker.”

According to the SBPD, Jonathan Sosa, 22, of Hialeah was arrested on one count of felony robbery.

Police were called to a home in College Park West before dawn on Monday regarding a complaint of a robbery. A woman told police that a man who had “solicited her services as a sex worker” on the internet met with her and paid for “services.”

However, the man allegedly demanded his money back and when the woman refused, physically assaulted her while he retrieved cash from the vehicle they were using for their activity,

He left and fled into a home, but the woman followed in her car and woke up the people living there. Arriving police found “minor visible injuries” to her neck, but she declined medical attention.

The SBPD is continuing to investigate the incident. Anyone with more information is asked to call Detective Jorge Muniz at (562) 799-4100, ext. 1110.
