Construction of a new Raising Cane’s chicken finger fast food restaurant was approved by the Garden Grove Planning Commission at its meeting Thursday night.
The vote was 6-0 in favor with Commissioner Asia Cunningham absent.
Planners gave the green light for a 3,267-square foot drive-through restaurant on the east side of Harbor Boulevard, between Chapman Avenue and Twintree Lane at 12202 Harbor.
The proposed eatery would have an inside dining area for about 50 patrons, as well as a partially-covered outdoor patio area for about 79 people.
Another Raising Cane’s eatery, which features chicken fingers, toast and fries, opened last year on Beach Boulevard in Stanton to considerable success.
