The coronavirus pandemic in Orange County isn’t extinguished yet, but Sunday’s numbers seem to indicate a trend in that direction.

According to the county health care agency, all four major metrics showed declines. It should be noted that – in the past – statistics reported on Sunday sometimes showed “dips” reversed the following day.

The OCHCA states that confirmed new cases were at 33, a decline from Saturday’s total of 47. Deaths are at three, compared to five on Saturday and hospitalizations fell from 90 on Saturday to 84 on Sunday.

Additionally, patients being treated for COVID-19 in intensive care units ticked down from 22 to 21.

The to-date total of cases in Orange County is at 254,311, of which 247,194 are considered to be recovered. Deaths are at 5,008.
