Starting on June 4, the Westminster School District will have a new assistant superintendent of business services. At its May 13 meeting, the WSD Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Traci Green to that post. She will earn an annual salary of $165,626.

Green has 18 years of employment in public education, rising from accounting, educational services specialist, fiscal services manager, assistant director and director. She has been with the Garden Grove Unified School District since 2003.

She has an A.A. degree from Fullerton College, a B.A. degree from Cal State Fullerton and a certificate in school business management from the Rossier School of Management at USC.

Also last week, the WSD board approved a memorandum of understanding with the Westminster Teachers Association, committing to “a return to a pre-COVID-19 regular, traditional, in-person instructional schedule and adhering to public health and safety guidance.”

The MOU outlines details of how to implement the return with items such as “learning loss intervention,” “social emotional support,” etc.

WSD is a K-8 district serving most of Westminster and portions of adjacent communities. The next meeting of the board of trustees is scheduled for June 10.
