Garden Grove

Great Wolf will howl on Saturday

THE GREAT WOLF LODGE, a 105,0000-square foot indoor water park, will reopen Saturday on Harbor Boulevard in Garden Grove.

Great Wolf Southern California will make a splash in Garden Grove on Saturday, as it reopens its doors following more than a year-long closure. The resort will seek to provide families a go-to location to rediscover togetherness and disconnect from the outside world through a wide range of activities.

“We are thrilled with the community’s excitement for our Southern California resort’s reopening and look forward to welcoming families back for some howling good fun as they enjoy a quick ‘staycation’ or long-awaited getaway,” said Diana Harrison, general manager of Great Wolf Lodge Southern California.

Great Wolf Lodge Southern California is a 603-room, all-suite resort located at 12681 Harbor Blvd. Families can once again enjoy the 105,000-square-foot indoor water park – heated to 84 degrees all year long – with tube slides, raft rides, and splash areas, along with a lazy river, wave pool, and activity pool that every member of the pack will love.

Aside from the water park, guests enjoy an array of indoor attractions including Ten Paw Alley mini bowling, Howl at the Moon Glow Golf, and MagiQuest, the brand’s exclusive interactive adventure game. The resort also features a number of eateries that range from elevated dining to sweet treats as well as an expansive outdoor pool to relax and soak up the California sunshine.

As part of its reopening, Great Wolf Lodge Southern California will incorporate elements from the company’s Paw Pledge program, a health and safety initiative developed with guidance from medical experts, health officials, sanitation specialists, and industrial engineers in response to the pandemic.

This company-wide initiative focuses on keeping families healthy and safe while they play together at the indoor water park resort. The program focuses on disinfection and sanitization, physical distancing, personal protection, and minimizing surface interactions in all guest areas across the resort.

The resort’s reopening lands just in time for Great Wolf Lodge’s annual Summer Camp-In celebration May 27 through Sept. 6, 2021, where guests can rekindle the spirit of simpler times through the quintessential summer tradition of camping. The weatherproof celebration includes special camp-themed programming like pool parties, character appearances, dances, games, arts & crafts, and evening s’mores by the lodges’ own “s’moreliers” for an endless summer experience.
