OCEAN VIEW and Orange high schools won their first round CIF-SS baseball playoff games on Friday and advance to the second round on Tuesday (Shutterstock).

Two local teams won first round CIF-SS baseball games Friday and will advance to the second round on Tuesday.

In Division 2, Ocean View (22-6 overall) defeated Simi Valley 5-4 in nine innings. The Seahawks will play Bonita (15-5). In other D-2 games, Pacifica (15-12) lost 5-3 to Los Alamitos and Marina (13-17) fell 8-3 to Mission Viejo.

Loara (12-5) lost to Centennial of Corona, 10-1 in Division 4, Division 6 action saw Orange (19-11) beat La Quinta of Westminster (10-11) by the score of 3-1. The Panthers will take on Aquinas of San Bernardino.

In Division 7, Los Amigos (5-6) lost 8-5 to Temecula Prep.

Huntington Beach (24-4), which defeated Santa Margarita 1-0 in Division 1 play on Thursday, will advance to second round action Tuesday against Corona (20-8).

IN BOYS’ DUAL meet wrestling, Western (17-0) defeated Newport Harbor 42-21 on Tuesday and will meet Corona del Mar on Saturday for the Division 6 title.
