ONE PERSON is dead in a crash early Sunday morning on the Garden Grove Freeway (Shutterstock).

An early morning crash on the Garden Grove (22) Freeway resulted in the death of one person and the temporary closure of all westbound lanes.

According to the California Highway Patrol, they were notified at 2:30 a.m. that a white sedan was in the center divider of the freeway at Knott Avenue.

One person was reported fatally injured in the crash. Police are looking for a woman missing from the collision, the CHP added.

All westbound lanes were closed at 2:37 a.m. By 4:11 a.m. all lanes were reopened.
