Stray fireworks weren’t the only danger on this Fourth of July weekend.
In Stanton, a vehicle crashed onto a lawn and into a house near Western Avenue and College Drive (north of Cerritos Avenue) early Sunday morning.
According to the Orange County Authority – which provides fire and paramedic services for Stanton, Garden Grove and Westminster – one patient was treated at the scene and transported with firefighter/paramedics to a trauma center at an area hospital. Another person was assessed but refused transportation to a hospital.
Both injuries were from persons in the automobile, which struck a bedroom in the house. None of the residents were injured, and to keep them from being displaced, Stanton building officials “red-tagged” only that room.
