Starting today (Tuesday), the Orange County Health Care Authority’s statistical report on coronavirus will be published once a week, on Tuesdays.
According to the OCHA, the total number of confirmed new cases from July 3-6 is 331. There was one death during that period.
Seventy-three people are hospitalized with the virus, and 11 patients are being treated for COVID-19 in intensive care units.
To date, the number of cases is at 256,776, of which 250,203 are considered recovered. Deaths total 5,124.
At the national level, confirmed new cases – as measured over a 14-day period – are up 5 percent, according to The New York Times. Deaths, however, have declined 38 percent.
In California, cases are up 5 percent and deaths are down 18 percent, according to the Los Angeles Times.
