POLICE are investigating a potential homicide in Santa Ana (Shutterstock).

Another potential homicide is being investigated by Santa Ana police detectives.

According to the SAPD, the incident began when a 9-1-1 call at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday from a passerby reported a male down on the east sidewalk of 1900 S. Grand Avenue. The injured man was bleeding heavily from his head.

Orange County Fire Authority personnel responded and took the male to a local hospital in critical condition. Medical staff there declared the subject brain-dead and placed his body on life support, pending identification and notification of family members.
