DETECTIVES are investigating the death of a man Tuesday in Santa Ana (Shutterstock).

Santa Ana police detectives are investigating the death of a man Tuesday afternoon in a home in Santa Ana.

According to the SAPD, officers responded at 2:44 p.m. to a residence in the 5300 block of West 3rd Street on a call about a man not breathing. He had suffered “trauma to his upper torso.”

Orange County Fire Authority personnel responded and pronounced the man dead. He was identified as Julio Martinez, 51, of Santa Ana. Police are investigating the circumstances and cause of death.
