The 2021 Summer Concert Series sponsored by the Garden Grove Community Foundation and the City of Garden Grove moved to Garden Grove Park Thursday evening and had another large turnout.

Entertainment was provided by Anything For Salinas, a tribute band for Tejano (Tex-Mex) music legend Selena.

A DIVERSE crowd was on hand for Thursday’s free concert.

The lead vocalist is Karol Posadas, a native of Guatemala who was raised in the San Fernando Valley.

A diverse crowd brought picnic blankets and folding chairs and babies to enjoy the music.

There were food trucks with a variety of cuisines and information booths for various public and community services and organizations.

The next free concert – the final show of the summer – will be on Thursday, Aug. 5. New wave tunes will be performed by Lynn Tran Dai, known as the “Vietnamese Madonna.”

All the concerts are from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Garden Grove Park is located at 9301 Westminster Avenue, between Brookhurst and Magnolia streets.
