A report on the city’s efforts in the abatement of graffiti tops Tuesday’s agenda for the meeting for the Garden Grove City Council.

It covers practices by the city’s public works department as well as contract work with Graffiti Protective Coatings, and touches on issues such as the use of standard colors, color matching and private property graffiti. In the latter case, the report notes that state law requires that the city needs to obtain permission from owners or occupants before painting over the “tagging.”

The council will meet in person in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave. at 6:30 p.m. Wearing masks and maintaining six-foot distancing from others are required.
