China will pursue “peaceful reunification” with Taiwan, said President Xi Jinping on Saturday. According to reuters.com, his remarks came after a week in which Chinese warplanes repeatedly flew into Taiwanese air space, a practice widely taken to be an attempt at intimidation.
“Taiwanese independence separatism is the biggest obstacle to achieving the reunification of the motherland, and the most serious hidden danger to national rejuvenation,” he said.
The island of Taiwan, also known as Formosa, is where the defeated government of the Republic of China fled after the Communist conquest of the mainland in 1949. The Beijing government claims that Taiwan – officially the ROC – is an illegal breakaway state. However, the economically prosperous country has managed to keep its independence with U.S. assistance.

Stores could also offer traditional boys and girls toy sections as well. Gov. Gavin Newsom signed the bill into law on Saturday. Many retail operations are already on that path; Target stopped having separate sections in 2015.

Maybe, with a lot of effort. The forecast for the West Orange County area for the next few days could easily pass for a mild summer day.
