A woman riding an electric scooter was hospitalized Tuesday night after a hit-and-run collision with an automobile in Garden Grove.
According to Sgt. Charles Starnes of the GGPD, the incident took place around 7:33 p.m. at the intersection of West Street and Donna Lane. Arriving officers found the woman in the middle of traffic lanes on West. She had been riding without a helmet.
Orange County Fire Authority paramedics responded and transported her to a local trauma hospital for “moderate injuries.”
The driver of the automobile left the scene before police arrived.
The cause of the collision has not been determined and an investigation is underway. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call Traffic Investigator Dan Mihalik at (714) 741-5925.
