t’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Garden Grove.

The Garden Grove community gathered for the 4th annual holiday celebration, “Winter in the Grove,”at Village Green Park on Saturday evening from 3-7 p.m.

The event had dance performances from local schools, inflatable activities for kids, snow slides, a chance to take a family holiday portrait, handmade gifts from local vendors, food vendors, and a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

The community supported local businesses by purchasing holiday crafts from the local vendors and socialized at the event.

Two high schoolers, Amy Dinh and Tien Vu, from Garden Grove High said they try to attend the Christmas event every year.

“We grew up here and we’ve always learned that Garden Grove is a very community-based neighborhood. It’s just really fun to get together with the entire community and see all the kids and everyone running around,” said Vu. “This is probably the biggest winter event I’ve ever seen.”

Kenneth Travis, a worker at the event, said the turnout was “great.”
