A flash flood warning was declared Tuesday morning for Orange County and the wintery rain storm is expected to dump water on the area through 3 p.m.
According to the National Weather Service, the heavy rain of this morning hit a pause near midday and showers will return around 1 p.m. The precipitation should taper off later in the afternoon.
There’s been localized flooding of streets, and at least two traffic accidents have occurred that snarled traffic this morning. A two-car collision on the Garden Grove (22) Freeway closed lanes for about an hour at 8 a.m. and an injury crash on that freeway – at Euclid Street – was reported at 9 a.m.
