Driver dies after tree crash

A MOTORIST died Monday after his car went of control and crashed into a tree in Fullerton (Shutterstock).

A motorist whose vehicle crashed into a tree in Fullerton this (Monday) afternoon died from his injuries.

According to the Fullerton Police Department, the incident occurred around 1:42 p.m. at Euclid and Baker streets. Arriving officers found a male driver still behind the wheel. He was transported to the UCI Medical Center in Orange where he was later declared dead.

Police believe the motorist was driving southbound on Euclid when he lost control of his vehicle and it crossed over the center median into the northbound lanes.

From there it crashed into a tree on the east sidewalk, north of the Riverside (91) Freeway. A medical condition may have been a factor in the collision, say police.

The identity of the driver is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call (714) 738-6812.
