Townhouse project is approved

A  79-unit townhome project won approval from the Stanton City Council Tuesday night. The vote was 4-0 with Councilmember Rigoberto Ramirez absent.

A public hearing was held for the council to consider a site plan, conditional use permit and associated permissions and actions for the construction of the development proposed for 12200 Beach (southeast of Chapman Avenue). The project will include seven units priced for low-income residents.

Also approved were:

  • renewal of authorization for virtual public meetings;
  • second reading and final approval of amendments to the municipal code’s regulations for accessory dwelling units and junior accessory dwelling units;
  • a purchase and sale agreement for property at 10692 and 10712 Beach Boulevard, both north of Pacific Street on the east side of Beach.
