A woman killed in a hit-and-run incident Sunday in Stanton has been identified.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, which provides police services for Stanton, the woman is Lisa Underhill, 62, of Huntington Beach.
The OCSD reports that she was walking in a crosswalk in the area of Lampson Avenue and Beach Boulevard around 2:45 a.m. on Sunday. She was struck by a vehicle – believed to be a 2007 to 2009 Toyota Camry – and died at the scene. The driver left the scene before deputies arrived.
Missing diver’s body is found
A commercial diver who went missing in the ocean near Huntington Beach Sunday has been found dead.
According to authorities, the man was identified as Theodore Watler, 64, of Long Beach. He was in the area of an offshore oil-processing platform known as Elly when he was reported missing Sunday morning.
His body was found around 3 p.m. Sunday about 250 feet from the surface.\
