Argos win, tied in Golden West

GARDEN GROVE High defeated Ocean View 42-40 on Tuesday night to remain in a tie for first place in the Golden West League boys’ basketball race (Shutterstock).

Garden Grove High’s boys’ basketball team edged Ocean View 42-40 on Tuesday night to keep pace in the Golden West League race with Segerstrom, which defeated Westminster 72-58.

Both teams are 3-0 in league and will meet on Tuesday at the Argonaut gym and again on Monday, Jan. 31 at the Jaguar facility. Overall, the Argos are 11-7 and Segerstrom is 7-13.

Each team is on a hot streak, Grove having won four straight and the Jags three in a row.
