The 2022 lineup for plays at the Gem Theatre in Garden Grove has been announced.
Subject to availability, the schedule is:
- “Into The Woods,” March 3-27. Storybook characters with a modern twist. Lyrics and music by Steven Sondheim.
- “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” April 21-May 15. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s first musical is a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph and the “coat of many colors.”
- “The Spongebob Musical,” June 30-July 31. The children’s cartoon series goes live on the stage with a tale of the undersea world in peril and the arrival of a hero.
- “Avenue Q,” Sept. 29-Oct. 23. A recent college grad arrives in the big city where he makes memories, mistakes and friends. Not for kids.
- Holiday production to be announced, Nov. 25-Dec. 18.
The 18th anniversary fund-raiser gala, “Dia de Los Muertos,” is set for Aug. 13.
