CIF-SS DUAL MEET wrestling championships will start on Saturday (Shutterstock).

High school dual meet wrestling championships will be held beginning on Saturday, with several local squads highly seeded.

The CIF-SS boys’ meets will be held at the school top-ranked in its division through the semifinals. The championships will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 2 at the school ranked highest in the final poll.

Westminster, champion of the Golden West League, is seeded second in Division 5. Mayfair High of Lakewood is the top seed.  Western High of Anaheim, the Orange League champ, is seeded first in Division 6.

The Lions will start facing off against Lancaster High, while the Pioneers will take on Notre Dame High of Riverside.

For the girls, Marina is the second seed behind Northview. The Vikings have a first round bye.
