A resolution stating that the trustee district boundaries need not be changed for the next election goes before the Garden Grove Unified School District Board of Education when it meets on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
By law, district boundaries for legislative bodies such as school boards, city councils, etc. must create roughly equal districts, and that those boundaries be reviewed after each decennial census.
The resolution states that there’s not a need to adjust those boundaries because there’s been no significant change in population distribution in the GGUSD.
Also on the agenda are presentations on parent recognition and the Carlston Family Foundation.
The next meeting of the board is set for Tuesday, Feb. 15. The GGUSD is a K-12 district serving most of Garden Grove and portions of Anaheim, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Santa Ana, Stanton and Westminster.
