  1. I read local news daily. If a headline connects to anything in my local world I read it and look for more info. I have witnessed many events over the years that never seem to make it in the news. They can’t be found in online police reports, blogs twitters, press releases or referenced in similarity to any arrest logs.
Some were so big it actually disturbs me many years later how there could not be any records of what I saw. Most recent example happened last week.
Saturday January 29th 2022. Northbound Beach Blvd after passing the Slater area 2 HBPD units fly pass me lights and sirens on. I reach Warner and can see the usual grid lock seen daily between 4pm and 7pm between Warner and Edinger. (405 and 22 frwy always heavy traffic). My maps app already showed red on southbound lanes before I left home. To advoid all the traffic and flashing lights I saw between Hail and Edinger ahead I detoured to northbound Newland st.
The bridge over the 405 still closed I was forced west on Heil headed right back into the middle of the chaos I was trying to advoid. As I approach Beach Blvd 2 fire trucks (paramedics?) with lights and sirens turn left on Beach from east bound hail and seemed to disappear into the mess of police cars, motorcycles and atleast 1 ambulance parked along the left and right NB lanes all with lights flashing and police officers on foot everywhere.
The only reports I find are of the Oakview area gunshot victim several blocks south of Hail that was reported 10pm.
Despite all the activity i drove thru the mess rather easy and didn’t notice any obvious reason for the big turn out that must’ve started around 5:30pm. It was around 6pm when I hit Heil Ave.
Related some way to the other report later that night? Anybody know what happened?
