Crash kills GG motorcyclist

A MOTORCYCLIST was killed Tuesday night in a collision in Garden Grove (Shutterstock).

A 56-year-old Garden Grove man was killed after the motorcycle on which he was riding collided with a pickup truck Tuesday night.

According to Officer Dan Mihalik of the GGPD, the incident took place around 8:25 p.m. in the intersection of Chapman Avenue and Knott Street.

After a preliminary investigation, police believe that the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Chapman Avenue through the intersection of Knott Street when it collided with the pickup truck, which was turning left to southbound Knott Street lanes.

The motorcyclist suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Orange County Fire Authority paramedics. Neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to have been a factor in the accident.
