Victim is “stable” after shooting

A MAN was wounded by gunfire Sunday night in Garden Grove (Shutterstock).

A Garden Grove man is stable condition at a local hospital after being shot several times Sunday night.

According to Sgt. Charlie Loffler of the GGPD, the incident took place in the 12400 block of Haster Street (north of Lampson Avenue). Police were summoned at around 9:11 p.m. regarding a gunshot victim.

Arriving officers learned that the victim – identified as a 26-year-old Hispanic male – had been in a “verbal altercation” with three Hispanic males just before the shooting.

The suspects were last seen fleeing east along Lampson and have not been identified. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his leg and abdomen. He is expected to survive.
