
A HAZ-MAT team from the Orange County Fire Authority responded to a report of a suspicious odor at a apartment complex in Garden Grove Thursday night (OCFA photo).
A strong odor coming from an apartment in Garden Grove led to a hazardous material team from the Orange County Fire Authority being dispatched on Thursday evening.
The other apartments were evacuated and then the body of a man was found in the unit in the 13000 block of Magnolia Street, near Central Avenue. According to police, the body was discovered around 7:30 p.m.
No hazardous material was found. The identity of the decedent was not available. He was described only as a 65-year-old man. An autopsy is pending.
