Big industrial bldg. on agenda

A PROPOSAL to build a 148,000-square foot industrial building goes before the Garden Grove Planning Commission when it meets on Thursday (Shutterstock).

A continued public hearing on a proposal to construct what would be one of the largest industrial buildings in the city tops the agenda for Thursday’s meeting of the Garden Grove Planning Commission.

Prologis, LP is proposing to demolish  the 65,880-foot building at 12641 Industry St. and the 83,100-square foot structure at 12691 Pala Drive to build a new 148,284-square foot industrial building in the area east of Knott Street and north of the Garden Grove Freeway.

The applicant is requesting approval of a site plan, a variance from the maximum permitted building height and a lot line adjustment to combine the two parcels into one.

This item was continued from the May 19 meeting of the commission.

The panel will meet at 7 p.m. in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave.
