You listen, and then ‘Sing 2’

“SING 2” will be shown at a free musical concert and movie screening Friday in Eastgate Park in West Garden Grove (Universal Pictures/Netflix).

Think of it as a double date.

Garden Grove’s “Outdoor Movie Series” for the summer will start on Friday at Eastgate Park with a musical concert followed by the screening of the film, “Sing 2.”

It starts at 7 p.m. when Pacific Symphony musicians will be performing a free chamber music concert on its mobile stage, “Symphony on the Go.”

At 8:30 p.m., the PG-rated animated musical “Sing 2” will be shown. Movie snacks and treats will be available for purchase from local food vendor C&M Ohana. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

The event is free; smoking is prohibited and animals (except service animals) are not permitted.

Eastgate Park is located at 12001 St. Mark St. (at western terminus of Chapman Avenue, west of Valley View Street). For more information, go to ggcity.org/outdoormovieseries or phone (714) 741-5200.
