A new city manager for Stanton will take office on July 18.

At Tuesday’s meeting of the city council, an agreement to hire Hannah Shin-Heydorn was approved on a 4-0 vote with Mayor David Shawver absent.

Shin-Heydorn, who is currently the city manager for the city of Signal Hill in Los Angeles County, will be paid an annual salary of $230,167. Additionally, she will receive a $100 monthly cell phone allowance and a $400 monthly auto allowance.

The agreement also calls for her to receive a 6 percent annual pay increase during the period between July 1, 2023 and July 1, 2024 for  “satisfactory performance.” She will succeed Jared Hildenbrand, who left Stanton this year to take the top job in Laguna Hills. Serving as interim city manager has been Zenia Bobadilla.
