Three people were killed and four others injured – three of them critically – in a rollover automobile accident on Orange early Saturday morning.
According to the OPD, the incident took place around 2:47 a.m. A Nissan Altima was traveling south on Glassell Avenue “at a high rate of speed” and went out of control at the curve at the Orange-Olive merge.
The vehicle rolled over and all seven occupants were ejected. Three were declared dead at the scene and the other four were taken to local hospitals. Three of those are in critical conditions and the fourth had suffered moderate injuries.
Drugs and alcohol are suspected to be a factor in the crash. Glassell and Orange-Olive, north of Taft Avenue, were closed to traffic for several hours.
