Woman’s body buried, dug up

A “PERSON OF INTEREST” has been taken into custody in connection with the “suspicious death” of a woman in Huntington Beach (Shutterstock).

UPDATE: The grounds of the area where Huntington Beach police reported a “suspicious death” were excavated and the remains of an unidentified woman were found buried.


The “suspicious death” of a woman in Huntington Beach Saturday afternoon has resulted in one “person of interest” being taken into custody as the investigation continues.

According to Jessica Cuchilla, public information officer for the HBPD, police responded to reports of “suspicious circumstances” at a home in the 7800 block of Slater Avenue (west of Beach Boulevard). With the help of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, officers found a dead unidentified female there.

The HBPD took the person of interest into custody early this (Sunday) morning. The identify of this person is not being released at this time. An investigation is ongoing and more details will be made public later.
